Once you have identified where the data is located
and your retention polices are in place, you are
now ready to setup your litigation hold notification
plan. Notifying the organization that litigation
is lurking on the horizon should be an automated
process. In house counsel and outside counsel should
be involved with the process. One thing that should
be considered is how the data is going to be collected.
Who will gather the data? Will your organization’s
I.T. group do the work or will an outside vendor
who specializes in this type of work perform the
data gathering.
